Origins & Education
Abdeldjalil Ouahabi represents the excellence of Franco-Algerian scientific cooperation. His exceptional academic journey begins with obtaining his doctorate from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (Grenoble INP), one of the most prestigious French institutions in engineering and technology.
He pursued his education with a remarkable achievement by obtaining his State Doctorate in Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1992, through an exceptional joint supervision between Grenoble INP (France) and USTHB (University of Science and Technology Houari Boumediene, Algiers). This bicultural training gives him a unique perspective on international scientific challenges and deep mastery of European and Algerian research methodologies.
This dual Franco-Algerian training constitutes the foundation of his international vision of research and his ability to develop fruitful transnational scientific collaborations.
Scientific Career
Professor Abdeldjalil Ouahabi holds a leading academic position at the University of Tours in France, where he conducts his research within the iBrain (Imaging and Brain) research unit, a joint Inserm-University of Tours structure dedicated to neuroscience and brain imaging.
Alongside his research activities, he has held important administrative responsibilities as deputy director in charge of international relations at the engineering school "Polytech Tours". This strategic function has allowed him to develop international partnerships and promote French excellence in engineering on a global scale.
