Origins & Education

Abdelhamid Mellouk pursued an excellent Franco-Algerian academic path. He graduated with a degree in computer network engineering from the National Higher School of Computer Science at the University of Oran Es-Senia (Algeria), completing his education at the University of Paris-Sud XI (Orsay). This dual education provided him with an international perspective on technological challenges.

He obtained his doctorate in computer science from the University of Paris-Sud, then continued with a Habilitation to Direct Research (HDR) at the University of Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC), dedicating his research work to communication networks and artificial intelligence applied to distributed systems.

Scientific Career

As a Full Professor at UPEC, Abdelhamid Mellouk works within the Networks & Telecommunications department and the LiSSi laboratory (Images, Signals and Intelligent Systems Laboratory). He founded and leads an innovative research team dedicated to intelligent control of communication networks.

His research areas cover adaptive architectures and real-time control mechanisms for dynamic next-generation networks, both wired and wireless. He is particularly interested in optimizing Quality of Service (QoS) and improving Quality of Experience (QoE) in complex network environments.
