Born on September 8, 1967, in Rouiba, Algiers, Algeria, Mohamed Djemai has followed an exemplary academic path that led him from Algerian high school to the highest French university institutions.

1986: High School Diploma (Baccalauréat) from Lycée Abdel Moumen, Rouiba

1991: State Engineer Diploma in Automatic Control from the National Polytechnic School of Algiers

1992-1995: PhD thesis at Université Paris Sud Orsay, Laboratory of Signals and Systems, CNRS UMR 8506, with a CNRS scholarship

2005: Habilitation to Supervise Research (HDR) from University of Cergy
